“But he who dares not grasp the thorn should never crave the rose.” Anne Brontë
This is the first time I have had the opportunity to wear Liguria. Yes, you read that right, the first time. Contrary to popular belief, I don’t wear ball gowns every day while sipping on champagne as I sit in my sunshine filled office. Spending most of my time in my home office/studio means I usually am donning my super comfortable ripped up jeans paired with a black tee. There is little need for that ball gown in my day to day life. But don’t worry, it’s always at the ready just in case the opportunity arrises. That being said, I do pull myself away from work every now and then to go into downtown Grand Rapids, which does require civilian clothes.
While I would love to own every single item I’ve designed, that would get pricey, so I only own a few garments. Usually I pick my favorite from the collection and that’s the one I buy for myself. However, with the Spring 2015 collection, I just couldn’t choose, so both Oia and Liguria ended up finding permanent residence in my closet. Who knows, maybe a few more will eventually find their way in too…
